Welcome To Wellness Coaching

Hello World!

I'm Dr. Michael Arloski, the Director of Wellness Coaching for ILCT.

Climbing on board the blogging bandwagon a bit later than our other authors, I'll do my best to make it up to you with blogging entries that you will find valuable.

1979 was when I attended the National Wellness Conference for the first time. This summer I presented there for the 22nd time, so I have some perspective to share. In recent years I've seen the wellness field and the world of coaching come together in more and more ways.

Wellness professionals are shifting their way of working with people. There is more and more recognition that taking wellness one-on-one may yield greater results than all our attempts at culture change, etc.

Let me share a profound quote with you:

"I think we are on the verge of a major paradigm shift in promoting health and wellness driven by coaching. Coaching provides a positive connection--a supportive relationship--between the coach and the person who wants to make a change. That connection empowers the person being coached to recognize and draw on his or her own innate ability and resources to make lasting changes for better health and well-being."

Are you seeing a paradigm shift? Are you looking to be part of making one happen?

I agree also with the comment made above. I recieved life coaching and I feel like a new person. I recieved such good support during a hard time in my life and without the coaching it would have been impossible for me to feel so good again.

Hello Pat,

I so agree with You! I believe with all my heart that we can't just treat one area of a patient/client, we need to treat each patient/client as a whole - body, mind, spirit. ...this approach helps us to really help a person!

Thank You for sharing Your wisdom with us!

Many blessings and great success to You in all You do!

Eve Juurik
